BRITISH COINS. Other Properties. George II (1727-1760), Gold Two-Guineas, 1734, 4 struck over 3, young laureate head left, rev crowned quartered shield of arms, edge obliquely grained (MCE 288; S 3667). Red tone, very fine and only the third this cataloguer has ever seen, extremely rare.
From the same design as the pattern proof issue of 1733, the first and rarest currency Two-Guinea piece of the reign.
