BRITISH COINS. Other Properties. Isle of Man Tokens. Farthing Tokens (2), P Towns, 62 Strand Street, Douglas, good luck advertising annulus in aluminium with Farthing in centre dated 1932, legend on annulus both sides, the obverse within a horseshoe device, first with a 1932 dated George V Farthing, second with a George VI 1938 dated Farthing; 17th Century Token, Mic Wilson of Dublin, coat of arms, rev St George and dragon, with denomination legend, milled edge. Farthings fine, the surrounding rings of aluminium extremely fine, the token bold fine. (3)
The aluminium rings were made by J R Gaunt of Birmingham for Percy Towns, a watchmaker and jeweller at the address quoted in Douglas.
