CILICIA, Aegeae. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 13.57 g, 6h). Dated CY 178 (AD 131/2). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery / Eagle standing facing on harpa, head and tail right, with wings spread; in exergue, goat kneeling right; ETOYΣ HOP (date) in legend. Prieur –; SNG Levante –; SNG BN 2330; RPC III 3347/3 (this coin cited). Toned, a few light scratches, metal flaws. Near VF. Very rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and six in CoinArchives, including this coin.
