CYRRHESTICA, Beroea. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 11.09 g, 5h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, [winged animal flanked by B-Є]. Prieur – (cf. 884). Toned, porous, copper oxide deposits on the reverse. VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and none in CoinArchives.
