SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 12.87 g, 6h). "Carrhae Issues". Struck AD 219. Laureate and draped bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; Δ–Є flanking head, star between legs. Prieur –; McAlee 766 (this coin illustrated). Toned, a few deposits and light scratches. VF. Nice metal for issue. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and none in CoinArchives.
