SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 11.38 g, 6h). Officina A. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; A beneath eagle's head. Prieur 968. Lightly toned, light porosity, a few spots of verdigris. Good VF. Extremely rare, five noted by Prieur, and two in CoinArchives.
