PHOENICIA, Aradus. Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 14.43 g, 7h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from front / Eagle standing facing, head left and tail, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; crescent between legs. Prieur 1278/1281 (obv./rev.). Minor porosity and flat strike, underlying luster. VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and three in CoinArchives.
