Bithynia, Nicaea. C. Vibius Pansa. Procurator, 47-46 B.C. AE 17 (17.27 mm, 3.33 g, 1 h). Struck, yr. 236 of Bithynian era = 47/6 B.C. NIKAIEΩΝ (or similar), bare head of young Julius Caesar right / ΕΠΙ ΓΑΙΟΥ - ΟΥΙΒΙΟΥ / ΠΑΝΣΑ // ςΛΣ (or similar), legend vertically downwards to left of Victory walking right carrying palm-branch and holding wreath, two monograms to right; ςΛΣ in exergue ( = yr. 236 of Bithynian era = 47/6 B.C.). Cf. RPC 2026 (23mm) ; Cf. SNG Von Aulock 535; Cf. BMC 8; Rec. Gen. plate LXV, 10-11. Rough Near VF, porous surfaces, dark olive patina, lighter olive deposits in recesses.
