LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.90 g, 11 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; to left, kerykeion above ΛY. HN Italy 1556. Johnston Class A, 1.5. Lustrous and attractive. Light die breaks on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
