CILICIA. Issos (?). Circa 425-390 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 10.43 g, 5 h). Marine deity with dragon tail to left, holding trident in his right hand and wreath in his left. Rev. Lion at bay to right on rocky ground; above, uncertain legend ('z in Phoenician?). Casabonne type 1 and pl. VI, 15 (same dies). SNG Paris 421 (same dies, as 'Myriandros'). Very rare and among the finest known examples. Somewhat rough and the obverse slightly double struck, otherwise, good very fine.
