KINGS OF ARMENIA. Artaxias I, 190-160 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 14 mm, 1.79 g, 1 h), second series, with Greek legends. Head of Artaxias I to right, bearded and wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with a star and tied with a diadem. Rev. [BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - AP]TAΞEP[ΞOY] Bunch of grapes. Kovacs 48. Very rare. Struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
