BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Heliokles II, circa 90-75 BC. AE (Bronze, 17x22 mm, 7.79 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in eastern Gandhara or the western Punjab. ΒAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΔIKAIOY - HΛIOKΛEOYΣ Diademed and draped bust of Zeus Basileus to right, with scepter over his left shoulder. Rev. 'Maharajasa dhramikasa Heliyakreasa' (in Karoshti) Elephant walking right; below, monogram. Bopearachchi -, cf. 7 (elephant walking right). CNG E-Auction 399 (2017), 345 corr. Minor flan fault in the upper right corner on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
