Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.53 g, 7 h), Rome, circa 119-122. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. P M TR P COS III Minerva, helmeted and wearing aegis, standing right, brandishing spear in her right hand and holding shield in her left. BMC 121. Cohen 1062 var. (differing bust type). RIC 69 var. (differing bust type) and corr. (holding shield not spear in her left hand). A splendid, lustrous, beautifully toned, and very well pedigreed example. Virtually as struck.
