KINGS OF MACEDON. Perseus, 179-168 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 2.63 g, 5 h), pseudo-Rhodian issue, uncertain mint in Thessaly. Hermias, magistrate, circa 171/0. Head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. EPMIAΣ / Z-Ω Rose with bud to right. Price, Larissa, pl. LV, 247. SNG Keckman 795. A lustrous and beautifully toned piece. Very minor die rust on the reverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
