Exceptional card with mention of book on James Cook (1728-1779) explorations of southern hemisphere (Australia and Antarctic) on the ships HMS Resolution and Adventure in 1772 to 1775. Cook was famous to have surveyed and mapped the entrance of St-Lawrence river, during the siege of Quebec City in 1759. Rarely seen and firtst handled by us - Ace of Diamonds. Crisp EF.
