SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos). 121/0-97/6 BC. Fourrée Drachm (15mm, 2.70 g, 12h). Copying Antioch on the Orontes mint issue of 109-96 BC. Diademed head right / Tripod; monogram over ∆ to outer left. For prototype, cf. SC 2310a; cf. HGC 9, 1209. Lightly toned, plating broken in spots, roughness, scratch on obverse. VF. Very rare fourrée, unrecorded in plated coins appendix in SC II.
