Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX. 1282-1328. AV Hyperpyron Nomisma (22mm, 3.83 g, 6h). Class IIa. Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1294-1303. Half-length figure of the Theotokos, orans, within city walls with six towers; sigla not visible / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus and Michael kneeling to left and right, respectively. Cf. DOC 250-261 (for type); PCPC 127 (unlisted sigla); SB 2396. Toned. VF. Partial reverse brockage visible on obverse. Very rare.
