Aurangzeb, Parenda Mint, Gold Mohur, AH 1116/48 RY, "Mihr Munir" Couplet, Obv: sikka zad-dar jahan chu mehre munir, Shah Aurangzeb Alamgir and hijri date, Rev: sana 48 julus, zarb Parenda at the bottom, 10.86g, 20.00mm, (KM # 315.41, date is unlisted), with dotted floral motifs on bothsides, weakly struck, about very fine, Exceedingly Rare.

Parenda was located in the Deccan region, it became the part of Mughal Empire during the 3rd year of Aurangzeb's reign (1071AH) when Amir-ul-Umara, Shayasta Khan had reported that "the fort of Parenda had been won without fighting (Maasir-Alamgiri, pg 33). It remained in the hands of Mughals during the rest of Aurangzeb's reign. Gold mohurs from this mint are hardly offered in auctions and it is an important rarity in Aurangzeb's gold coinage.
