Gupta Dynasty, Chandragupta II (Vikramaditya II) (375-415 AD), Gold Dinar, "Lion Slayer" type, Obv: armoured king wearing dhoti slaying the Lion, holding bow in left hand with right hand shown as having released the bow string, Lion is falling backwards with arrow in its mouth, circular Brahmi legend ".........jayyo bhuvi simhavikramah", Rev: goddess Lakshmi, nimbate with skull cap sitting in a Vamaradhaparyanka pose on a sleeping/resting Lion seated facing left, diadem in her right hand while the left is resting on her thigh, a lotus is seen adjacent to the goddess's face, its stem is seen rising from under her left arm, tamgha at upper left, Brahmi legend at right field "Simhavikrama", 7.68g, 18.65mm, (variant of Altekar, Bayana Hoard # Pl. XVII- 1&2/TOTGE, S. Kumar # Class III- Var. A.2), choice very fine, obverse impressions are double-struck, Extremely Rare.
