USA 1866 große schwere Bronzemedaille anlässlich des ersten Jahrestages des Attentates auf den amerikanischen Präsidenten am 15. April 1865, Av.: Büste nach rechts, SALVATOR - PATRIAE., im Abschnitt EMIL SIGEL FECIT., Rv.: IN / MEMORY / OF THE / LIFE ACTS AND DEATH / OF / ABRAHAM LINCOLN / BORN FEBRUARY 12. 1809. / DIED APRIL 15. 1865, herum Lorbeerkranz in welchen ein Band eingeflochten ist mit folgender Inschrift: PUB. BY THE - AMERICAN - NUMISMATIC - AND - ARCHAEOLOGICAL - SOCIETY - NEW YORK 1866, die Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection schreibt dazu auf ihrer Homepage: This bronze medallion with mahogany finish was struck in 1866 as a memorial to President Abraham Lincoln who had died from an assassin's bullet on April 15, 1865. The sculptor cut the dies of "unusual thickness and great relief." A right-profile bust in relief is the central feature of the obverse with "Salvator Patriae" embossed one word on each side. The sculptor's name "Emil Sigel Fecit." appears below the bust. The reverse features a laurel wreath surrounding the following inscription, "In memory of the life acts and death of Abraham Lincoln, born February 12, 1809, died April 15, 1865." An inscription on a ribbon wound through the laurel wreath in very small font reads "Pub. by The American Numismatic and Archaelogical Society, New York, 1866."
