Crushed and encrusted silver/copper bowl, ex-Atocha (1622). 676 grams, 8" x 5-1/2". Fascinating artifact not for discernment as a bowl (which it no longer is due to the forces of the ocean) but for the heavy sprinkling of light-colored sand and shell encrustation all over. Some of the folded copper peeks out as an added bonus! From the Atocha (1622), with original Fisher photo-certificate #4365.
