Revolutionary War-period iron cannonball "four pounder" from Ft. Ticonderoga, New York. 1642 grams, 2-3/4" in diameter. Well-preserved, solid small cannonball that neatly fits in your hand, with a mottled black coating from preservation and pitting all over, TICONDEROGA faintly painted in a circular pattern on one side. Found in 1949.
