GREAT BRITAIN. Bronze 10 Cents (1/10th Shilling) Pattern, 1857. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS PROOF-65 Red Brown Gold Shield.
P-1969. An EXTREMELY RARE pattern issue, this piece features intense mint red with some deeper purple, mostly in the central areas of the obverse. A fully resplendent Gem assured to generate enthusiasm and a great deal of consideration. This cataloger could locate only one other example of the type--a similarly brilliant uncertified specimen from the Freeman collection, a pattern which realized a hammer of nearly $1,900 in 2011.
From the Regent Crest Collection.
Estimate: $1600.00- $2400.00
