URUGUAY. 40 Centesimos, 1844. Montevideo Mint. Republic. PCGS EF-45 Brown Gold Shield.
KM-3; Antunez-6.2.2. Medal alignment/"male" sunface. A chocolate brown coin with mottled charcoal patina. The strike is slightly off center and the planchet is somewhat rough, both commonly seen features of this crudely produced issue. However, it is exceptionally preserved with little wear for the grade and clean, smooth fields.
