URUGUAY. 20 Centesimos, 1844. Montevideo Mint. Republic. PCGS MS-63 Brown Gold Shield.
KM-2.2; Antunez-5.1.1. Thin planchet/coin alignment. One of the hardest early Uruguayan issues to find in a decent state of preservation, this example is the sole mint state piece certified at PCGS with only two others certified in any grade. The CoinFacts plate coin, it has satiny, sepia brown surfaces with touches of original mint red radiating from the wreath. The luster, potent for the grade, is clear and especially attractive when rotated. Destined for one of the top Latin American collections.
From the Cerro Catedral Collection.
Estimate: $2000.00- $3000.00
