QARA QOYUNLU: Iskandar, 1420-1438, AR tanka, ND, NM, A-2492, countermarked man iltaja'a illa al-haqq naja "He who takes refuge in the Truth (God) is saved" in a plain rectangle on Shirvanshah type A-2470, Darband mint, VF-EF on Good host. This countermark was applied to coins seized as booty during Iskandar's campaign against the Shirvanshah in 1430, mostly on tankas of the Shirvanshah rulers Ibrahim I or Khalil Allah I.
