EUBOIA. Histiaia. Circa 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 2.37 g, 3 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, with her hair rolled and bound with a wreath of ivy leaves and berries, wearing a drop earring and a pearl necklace. Rev. ΙΣΤ[Ι] - ΑΙΕΩΝ Nymph seated to right on stern of galley, holding stylis in her left hand and resting her right on the deck; on the side of the stern, seven-rayed star; below, trident to right. Attractive, fresh, clear, nicely toned, very well-centered and struck on a broad flan. An unusually fine example of this extensive issue, quite exceptional. Extremely fine.
