Nude rider on horse prancing to right, holding round shield and two lances with his left hand and striking downwards with a spear held in his upraised right; behind, to left, ⊢; to right, Λ; below, ΚΑΛ over Δ. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to right, holding crested helmet with both hands; to left and right, eight-pointed star; below, ΚΑΛ. Fischer-Bossert 761. HN III 896. Vlasto 548. Lightly toned and attractive. Struck from slightly worn dies, and with a minor graffito on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
