ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 412-404 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.48 g, 4 h). Head of bald and bearded satyr to right, with animal ear. Rev. Σ-I / Θ-Α Two dolphins, one above the other, swimming left and right; all within shallow incuse. Cf. Le Rider, Thasiennes 12 and SNG Copenhagen 1033. A coin of remarkably fine, high-classical style. Some surface roughness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
