Bar Kokhba Revolt. AE 23; Bar Kokhba Revolt; Undated, attributed to Year 3=134/5 AD, AE 23, 11.53g. Hendin-1437, Mildenberg-134 (O11/R98, only 1 spec.). Obv: Vine leaf on tendril, Hebrew inscription "The Freedon of Israel". Rx: Palm tree with seven branches and two bunches of dates, Hebrew inscription "Shim'on". In Mildenberg's opinion this reverse die shows "what is probably the most beautiful palm tree in the coinage" (p. 325).. EF
