Obv: Head of Athena l. wearing Phrygian helmet ornamented with female centaur; behind, monogram of Kleudoros. Rx: Lion standing l. devouring piece of meat held between forepaws; below lion, monogram of Kleudoros; above, uncertain control letter (not struck up); in exergue, YE?HTON. Williams considers Kleudoros, whose name was written out on one obverse die, to have been the engraver of all the dies of this group, many of which bear his monogram, sometimes on both obverse and reverse, as on our example..
