Byzantine lead seal of Damianos N.
(6th/7th cent.)
Condition: Well centered, bold sealing, a small part missing on Rev., otherwise VF. Nice natural patina.
Obverse: Cruciform monogram: ΔΑΜΙΑΝΟΥ... = Δαμιανοῦ (Of Damianos), all within wreath border.
Reverse: Cruciform monogram: ΔΑΜΙΑΝΟΥ... = Δαμιανοῦ (Of Damianos), all within wreath border.
It is to note that Obverse side is identical to Reverse side, and that is difficult to decipher the dignity of Damianos, here most probably conjugated with his name.
