Cuba 5 Convertible Pesos 1999
KM# 730; 40th. anniversary of Guevara as BNC President. This is the only bimetallic coin on Convertible Peso series; also the only showing "PESOS CONVERTIBLES" in face value. Was minted as commemoration for the 40 years of the promotion of Guevara to President of the Banco Nacional de Cuba, but the event is not mentioned in the coin; therefore, should be considered the only commemorative circulating coin minted after the Revolution of 1959. Coin was minted on 1999, but issued on 2004 (45th. anniversary of the event). Very difficult to find this coin on practice.
