Russia Smallpox Vaccine Specimen Silver Medal 1826 RRR
Diakov-464.1 (R2), Smirnov-429/a, 64mm. St Petersburg Mint, design by Lyalin. Instituted in 1826 and awarded to the most distinguished smallpox innoculators. Obv. Crowned and mantled bust of Catherine II right. Rev. Female figure with outstretched arms surrounded by seven children. Well struck, with moderate contact marks and golden russet toning. Minor surface smoothing appears in exergue on the reverse PCGS SP Geniune. Медаль «За прививание оспы» 1826 год.
