Russia 1 Rouble 1913 BC Romanovs 300th Anniversary Extremely Rare (R3!) Blurred Die! NGC MS 63

Silver roubles for the 300th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty, issued in a huge circulation of 1,472,019 pieces, are divided into "flat" and "relief" embossing by the nature of the image on the obverse. Contrary to the prevailing opinion among numismatists, both of these types are found equally often, and none of them is "blurred". In 1913, a commemorative silver rouble was issued for national celebrations dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the ruling dynasty. The portrait depicting Nicholas II in military uniform and Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich (the first Romanov on the Russian throne) was made by the medalist A.F. Vasyutinsky on the model of the medal by M. Kerzin. The first batch of 50,000 coins displeased the country's leadership with its "blurry" relief, and the stamps were ordered to be redone; Серебряные рубли на 300-летие дома Романовых, выпущенные огромным тиражом в 1 472 019 штук, по характеру изображения на аверсе разделяют на «плоский» и «выпуклый» чекан. В 1913 году к всенародным торжествам, приуроченным к 300-летию правящей династии, был выпущен памятный серебряный рубль. Портрет, изображающий Николая II в военной форме и царя Михаила Федоровича (первого Романова на российском троне), выполнен медальером А.Ф.Васютинским по образцу медали работы М.Керзина. Первая партия в 50 000 монет вызвала неудовольствие руководства страны своим «размытым» рельефом, и штемпели велено было переделать.
