John V Palaeologus, with John VI, AR Basilikon. Constantinople, circa AD 1347-1353. Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing; И(?) to left, Φ to right / John V and John VI standing facing, each wearing crown with pendilia and loros, placing hand on breast and holding long cross on a forked base between them. Unpublished in the standard references, cf. CNG 96, 2014, lot 1037. 1.38g, 19mm, 1h.

Very Fine; areas of flatness, lightly toned and lustrous metal. Not in the standard references, and perhaps the second known example of the type.
