Germany, Nuremberg. Josef II AR 20 Kreuzer. 1769 SR. ROM IMP SEMP AVG IOSEPHVS II D G, crowned double-headed eagle with coat of arms / MONETA NOVA REIPVBL NORIMBERG, three coat of arms; S(20)R below. KM 360.
NGC Graded MS 65; choice sharp mirror like fields. Rare; the last 20 kreuzer was minted 1774. The relative rarity of German minors such as this twenty kreuzer is much less well documented than that of the thalers and ducats. Nuremberg was mediatized by Napoleon in 1806 and handed over to Bavaria.
