The obverse of this unpublished coin suggests it was struck in civic year 247 of an era of which we are uncertain. This year yields a date within the early to mid second century AD in various calendars, as Edward Cohen notes:

• Sidon, calendar starting 111/110 BC yields AD 136/7 under Hadrian
• Tyre, calendar starting 126/125 BC yields AD 121/2 under Hadrian
