Republic, 8 reales, Durango mint, 1849 JMR/CM, die style of 1842-49, with weak y on eagle and very weak (but clear) bgy in rays, 27.69g (DP-Do28a), minor metal flaws, mint state and well toned. This coin confirms the reported specimen referenced by Dunigan and Parker (p 123).
