Charles I (1625-1649), Bristol mint, Shilling, 1644, armoured bust in lace collar, plumelet in front of face, cross of five pellets at head of legend, rev. legend begins at 11 o'clock, plume flanked by two plumelets, pellet stops, Br below date, 5.74g/8h (Morr. C-4; SCBI Brooker 996a, same dies; N 2501; S 3016A). Struck on a small flan, good fine £300-£400
