GREECE: 300 million Drachmas (5.10.1944) printed check used as banknote by the Bank of Greece (Agrinio branch). Handwritten serial no "35259". After the Germans left the city of Agrinio, the bank issued checks used as banknotes with the signature of G. Fanos (the bank director) to pay for the salaries of the employees of the public sector. Inside plastic holder by PMG "Choice Very Fine 35 - Stains". (Pick 147).
