Five Pounds Harvey White note B209a dated 30th June 1919 serial number 67/H 38855 London branch issue VF - GVF Pinholes, Faint Annotations and an always sought after early signature. Sir Ernest Musgrave Harvey became the 17th Chief Cashier on the 6th May 1918 just as the end of World War I was approaching. The inflation caused during the war meant that demand for banknotes increased during Mr Harvey's time in office. Sir Harvey was knighted in 1920 and created a Baronet in 1933, among his other honours which were the CBE, Chavlier of the Legion of Honour and Chavlier of Leopold of Belgium.
