Australia Commonwealth Bank 5 Pounds Pick 31a ND 1954 - 1959 issue bearing signatures Coombs titled Governor, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Wilson titled Secretary to the Treasury FIRST prefix TA/06 141644. The obverse in black on blue and light blue underprint featuring Australia Coat of Arms, officially known as the Commonwealth Coat of Arms with a shield depicting the 6 states and held by the native Australian animals - the kangaroo and emu bird, along with a portrait of Sir John Franklin, a British Royal Navy officer and a famous explorer of the Arctic who disappeared and died along with the crew on his last expedition in 1847 whilst attempting to chart and navigate the Northwest passage in the North American Arctic. The reverse in blue featuring sheep, agricultural products, boomerang and native aboriginal shield between Bull and Cow's head. Fresh and crisp about UNC and Scarce in this high grade earlier note
