Ceylon Government 100 Rupees Pick 38 dated just nearer the end of World War II 24th June 1945 and serial number L/9 91320. A large sized note and Indian printing in green on multicoloured underprint with the obverse displaying a portrait of King George VI at left and text at top centre reads "This note is Legal Tender For The Payment of Any Amount". The reverse illustrating Laxapana Water fall at centre. Watermarked Chinze. An attractive GVF with paper still retaining relative crispiness, usual staple holes at left with minor split but this an Exceptionally Rare high denomination note and sought after in any grade by many collectors
