Cyprus Government 10 Shillings Pick 31 first date of issue dated 1st September 1953 serial number F/9 086279 variety with the denomination text at upper right written in modern Turkish (with Latin letters) alongside the English and Greek texts. The note in maroon on pink and olive underprint and featuring a portrait of King George VI portrait at upper centre on obverse and the reverse blank displaying a circular Seal with 2 lions at upper left and Government of Cyprus text at lower right. An Exceptionally Rare note in issued format and interestingly issued post-mortem of the featured Royalty with more than an year after King George VI's passing. Certain to be missing from even most advanced collections with PMG having only 4 examples recorded on their Population Report at the time of writing therefore this being a clear sign how rare of an opportunity this is to acquire this note. Estimate: 300-500 GBP
