Scotland The National Bank of Scotland Seventh issue 1 Pound Pick 258b (PMS NA48, BY SC503e) very FIRST date and prefix for this type 1st March 1947 serial number A/W 394-325 signature John Allan Brown titled General Manager. The note in light brown and black on red and yellow sunburst underprint with the obverse displaying Glasgow Cathedral and Palace of Holyrood house at left and right along with the Bank's Coat of Arms at upper centre. The reverse featuring an elaborate guilloche panel displaying a city view of Edinburgh at centre flanked by large numerical value in a panels, Coat of Arms above and surrounded with numerical value. Printed by W & A.K. Johnston. Ltd Edinburgh. A fresh and crisp GEF or near so with very Minor marginal Dirt not affecting the note's general appearance
