Army of India Medal 1799-1826, one bar Ava to M Barley 44th Ft. Officially impressed naming, Light contact marks GVF. Sold with copied service records which show he was born in Ballaghkeen, Wexford, Ireland, attested at Waterford in 1817 and served till 1840. Records show he appears to have spent most of his career drunk and was court martialled and imprisoned on many occasions!
