Sicily, the Tyrrhenoi Æ Litra. Circa 354/3-336 BC. Overstruck on a Syracuse Drachm of Dionysios I (Athena / Dolphins flanking sea star [CNS II, 62], struck circa 405-367 BC). Helmeted head of Athena right; TYPPH before / Athena standing facing, head left, holding spear in right hand and resting hand on grounded shield to right; M in right field. Castrizio series I, 1; Campana 1; CNS 1; HGC 2, 1657. 29.89g, 32mm, 5h.

Near Very Fine; dark green patina, under type clearly visible on both sides. Extremely Rare and interesting.
