Britannia, Iceni. Norfolk God AR Unit. Moustache type. 20 BC - AD 10. Male head right, oval eye, moustachioed, short dashes for hair with longer crescents behind, each with pellet at end; corn ear behind, two trefoils in front / Horse rearing right, cabled mane; below, lozenge with concave sides, pellet at each corner; above, pelta, tricorne within. ABC 1567; SCBC 434; Van Arsdell 792; BMC 3556ff. 1.21g, 14mm, 6h.

Van Arsdell's assignment of this coinage to the period of Boudicca's revolt has been disputed and has not been retained in Hobbs' catalogue of the Celtic holdings in the British Museum. Whilst 'Norfolk God' type silver units, such as this one, may be among the last coins produced by the Iceni, Amanda Chadnurn dates the type circa. 20 BC - AD 10.
