Constantinople, AD 641-668. ∂ N CO...N..., facing busts of Constans, wearing plumed helmet, and Constantine, crowned, each wearing chlamys / ∂ЄЧS A∂IЧƮA, cross potent on globe above three steps, between standing figures of Heraclius on left and Tiberius on right, each wearing crown and chlamys; Є in left field. DOC 58; MIB 153; Sear 999. 6.65g, 21mm, 6h.

Good Very Fine; gilded in antiquity (potentially so that it might pass as a solidus of the same types, cf. Sear 964). A rare and interesting example of ancient counterfeiting.
